Whenever we are in Huntington Beach, we place a big order to bring home to San Diego. Huge fan of the bacon fried rice and island fried chicken. Staff is always super friendly as well. Thank you for being amazing!

Mostly for take-out. They do have some tables open outside. Food was great! I got the island fried chicken and bbq beef— both full of flavor and very savory! If you’re a fan of asian mustard, def ask for it to try with the mac salad and cabbage salad! Tastes refreshing and balances the savory taste of the marinated meats. People who say the cabbage salad just don’t like their vegetables 🤣

Best teriyaki I've ever had. I've been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. The food is delicious, and macaroni salad is a 10/10. I always get extra to go!

It was my first time eating at the Loft today, and I have to say I’m disappointed. Before getting into the food, I want to acknowledge that the customer service was good. My dissatisfaction is solely with the quality of the food relative to the price. I ordered two Kalbi bowls (short ribs), and the meat tasted like it had been cooked on an overused grill. Not necessarily unsanitary, but as if multiple orders of beef and chicken had been cooked beforehand, leaving behind a buildup of burnt sugar from marinades or teriyaki sauce that transferred onto my food. I’ve had Kalbi at dozens of places and made it myself, and it typically doesn’t have that kind of burnt, bitter aftertaste. Another issue was the amount of bone dust in the meat. Nearly every bite had small bone fragments, which was frustrating. This should be addressed by properly rinsing or scraping the meat before marinating. Lastly, the dish was overpriced given the portion size, overall effort, and lackluster quality. I hope this feedback helps bring attention to these issues so they can improve. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to find out.

I really wanted to like OC loft Hawaiian. Unfortunately it was not very good. I got the Island style fried chicken. It was over deep-fried and the dark meat chicken was dry and chewy, almost to the point of not being edible. The cabbage/coleslaw was bland and uninteresting. The mac salad was very average, grocery store type. For $17 I expected better quality. I’ve spent a lot of time in Hawaii and IMO this is not Ono Hawaiian food. The best Hawaiian I’ve had in OC so far is at Aloha Hawaiian BBQ in Santa Ana. 🤙
